Dr. Yadolah Zarezadeh, Director of International Affairs of Kurdistan University of Medical
Sciences, reports that THE evaluated 2,152 universities from 125 countries/regions to produce the
overall Impact Ranking for 2024. Australia’s Western Sydney University tops the list for the third
consecutive year. There are 29 Iranian universities in the 2024 ranking. There number of
participating Iranian universities has increased compared to the last year evaluation.
Dr. Zarezadeh states that in 2024 edition, Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences was ranked
101-200 globally and second in the country (jointly with Kermanshah, Kerman, and Urmia
Universities of Medical Sciences) for Good Health and Well-being. Moreover, the results reveal
that Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences was ranked 401-600 in the world and fourth among
Iranian universities (jointly with Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, and University of
Zanjan) for Quality Education.
Director id International Affairs remarks that Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences is moving
forward according to its strategic plan, and analyzing the world university ranking benchmarks
shed light on the way of the University development.
